Who We Are
In 1986 we envisioned a business to compliment HVAC preventative maintenance programs. Often HVAC air filters are neglected which over time causes unwarranted and costly mechanical breakdowns. Our first customer was a small candy shop in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since then our controlled growth and strong work ethic have gained us over 1,500 active customers some of which include Marsh, Meijer, Taco Bell, Nucor, UniRoyal, Pizza Hut, Kroger, and many more.
Commercial Filter Service has established itself as a company that believes in offering quality products and services at competitive prices. Our service staff undergoes a 90 day on the job training period, which allows them to familiarize themselves with the various methods of filtration, the most productive way to change filters, and the ability to identify potential problems with heating and air conditioning units that can prevent costly repairs.
Our Founder

Bob Wearley
President, Owner
Years with Company: 22
Eventually Wearley wanted to return to his roots, so he moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1984. In 1986 he and his wife Ruth founded Commercial Filter Service, Inc. and envisioned it as a business that would compliment existing HVAC preventative maintenance programs. Unfortunately, after the move, his wife succumbed to a terminal illness from which she had been suffering. When he later remarried, Wearley asked his new wife, Sharon, to help him in growing the company.
While simultaneously serving on the Allen County Airport Board of Directors, and acting as Marketing Director for the Fort Wayne International Airport, Wearley, along with his wife Sharon and staff slowly developed the company into what it is today. Currently Bob serves as president of the Indiana Small Aircraft Transportation Alliance and still plays an active roll in Commercial Filter Service, Inc. initiatives. Bob loves to stay active in business as well as the community, and looks forward to providing quality filtration products and services to customers for many more years.
